This year, Macaroni KID Columbia is introducing Boo Bags for the first time! A Boo Bag is a Halloween goodie bag filled with candy, freebies, crafts, small toys, promotional goodies, and other fun surprises. We plan to hand-deliver 100 free Boo Bags to local children, bringing a little unexpected Halloween fun to families throughout Columbia and the surrounding area. We hope this becomes a tradition that local families look forward to every fall!
Sponsors who support this project will not only help bring some Halloween fun to local families, but also get their business in front of hundreds of families throughout Columbia and the surrounding area!
This is our first year creating Boo Bags, but we hope to make it a fun annual tradition that local families and businesses look forward to each fall. Sponsors will be featured through social media, website articles, and other digital promotions, with the potential to reach thousands of local parents and caregivers. We will also hand-deliver 100 Boo Bags directly to local families.
Each bag will include a flyer featuring participating sponsors’ logos so families know which local businesses helped make the project possible. This is a great opportunity to promote fall specials, new classes or services, or encourage families to visit your business with a free-item coupon or exclusive offer, all while giving back to the community in a fun way!
The best items are ones that families can clearly connect to your business, such as candy with your logo sticker, a branded treat bag, or a small giveaway with your business card or flyer attached. You could also include a coupon for a free item or an exclusive BOGO offer. If you include a coupon, we recommend making it valid for at least four months. The Halloween season can be busy for families, so this gives them plenty of time to visit your business and keeps your information on their fridge a little longer! 😉
Other fun ideas include customized erasers, branded candy bags, Halloween colored pencils, toothbrushes printed with your company name, or small goodies for parents. Koozies, chip clips, pens, magnets, and mini first-aid items are all great options!
**You must provide 100 fun items. ** This could be anything from free item coupons, kid-friendly promo swag items, bulk candy, toys, cups, Halloween goodies, etc. The point is for the families to see your item and to think of your business. You can also include 100 flyers with your item or promo materials to tell everyone about your business!
